Campaign Statements:

My platform is simple: I will honor the oath of office to uphold the consitution of the state of Utah and the Constitution of the United States, which is the law of the land. Anything more or less than this is unacceptable, and I will oppose it. I will vote to get the government's hand out of our pockets, it's eyes out of our homes, and its agenda out of our consciences. It is not the responsibility of our government to restribute our wealth or to enforce "charity" to perpetuate a welfare society. We do not need the government to raise our children and dictate their education and socialization. No one on Capital Hill either in Washington or Salt Lake City knows better how to take care of, protect, provide for, and manage my family and my business better than I do for my family and you do for yours. The federal government should exercise only those powers granted to it by the Constitution. Likewise the state government should exercise only its proper constitutional powers. All other powers belong to the people and their communities.

As your elected representative in the Utah House of Representatives from District 17, I will work to limit the role of state government to what is necessary, proper, and appropriate. I will oppose the encroachment of international governing bodies on our federal government, the federal bureaucracies on our state, and the state government on our communities and on us as citizens.A vote for David Armstrong is a vote for more rule by constitutional law and less government by whim and by patronization.
